Come and discover the ancient walls that protected the city and its people for centuries. Although they are almost all gone, there are still a few places where you can find some of it hiding along certain streets, inside modern buildings or holding an older structure.

AT A GLANCE

  • This private tour will lead you onto a search of what remains from the wall that surrounded the Roman Olisipo, the Moorish Wall of Uxbuna and the medieval Fernandina Wall.

 

  • Along the way there will be time to discover the Dom Dinis’ wall, which was lost for centuries and recently brought back to the city’s life.

 

  • The meeting point will be at Largo do Chão da Feira, by the São Jorge Castle.

Price per person: € 30,00

(minimum 2 people)

Includes:

  • Walking tour guided by an archaeologist from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
  • Insurance and visit to the Archaeological Site of Dom Dinis Wall and the Archaeological Site of Casa dos Bicos.

Note: There will be some walking up-hill so be prepared with comfortable shoes and clothing.
